WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 2, 2020) — The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund has endorsed U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar of Texas for re-election, citing his long record of working to recover America’s wildlife and his ongoing efforts to pass meaningful climate legislation.

“Through his time in office, Representative Cuellar has been one of Texas’ and the nation’s most important and effective champions for wildlife. From his co-sponsorship of the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act to his work to restore the Rio Grande and remove invasive species, Cuellar is a proven problem-solver focused on collaborative solutions,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund. “Texas is lucky to have Rep. Cuellar fighting for it in Washington. The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund is proud to endorse him for re-election.”

Cuellar, who has represented Texas’ 28th Congressional District since 2005, is a co-sponsor of both the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act and the Chronic Wasting Disease Research Act. He has worked to address climate change for more than a decade, voting in 2009 to pass a cap-and-trade bill.
