WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 12, 2019) — The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund has endorsed North Carolina congressional candidate, veteran and entrepreneur Dan McCready for his dedication to protecting America’s wildlife, clean drinking water and energy security for future generations. McCready, who is running in the special election for North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District, also has been an unwavering advocate for common-sense climate solutions and renewable energy.
“As a veteran and advocate for common-sense conservation, Dan McCready understands that energy security is national security. His business has helped North Carolina show the nation how the transition to clean energy not only is good for the environment, but also creates good-paying careers,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund. “Dan’s collaborative approach and dedication to bipartisan solutions for wildlife, energy, water and our natural resources is exactly what Congress needs more of today. The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund is proud to endorse Dan for election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”
McCready, a Marine veteran, also is a clean-energy entrepreneur, having started a solar-energy company in Charlotte that employs hundreds of North Carolinians. He also is the founder of a retail company dedicated to supporting American workers and made-in-America products.
